On Friday night my work threw me a surprise leaving party which was great fun, despite my ruining the surprise. It was a sharp wake-up call that our days here are numbered. Consequently, we filled most of the rest of the weekend with packing avoidance. We spent time with friends, ate delicious fish and chips from Go Fish and played dress-up picking out new glasses for me. We also took advantage of the sunshine and played tourist in Vancouver, wandering around Granville Island and Van Dusen Gardens admiring the incredible autumnal colours.
