Looking back in preparation for looking forward

I have kept a sporadic diary over the past year.  Whenever I have remembered, or managed to find the time I have endeavored to record new experiences as they have presented themselves.  Invariably though, life has got in the way.  I love to keep busy and rarely find the time to reflect as I might wish.  However, over the past year I have taken a lot of photographs.  It is probably fair to say I’ve become a little obsessed, as in June I embarked upon an image a day for a year project!  (over 100 days now)  I have learned a lot about photography through practice, in classes and due to Mike’s extraordinary patience with my increasingly ridiculous questions.

As the end of my first year in Vancouver draws to a close, I wanted to take this opportunity to look back on some of my favourite times and images from the past year.
